Liz Cochrane FIIC
Liz is Chair of the IoIC's Standards and Skills Board.
Liz is the Course Director for the Masters in Internal Communication Management and previously served on the IoIC's Board of Directors with Board level responsibility for the IoIC's Professional Development actitivies.
Liz is also a director of Facta Consult, a small employee research consultancy focused on helping organisations understand the perspective of their people. Liz's background includes managing communication in-house, consultancy and training. She is passionate about the difference internal communication can make, and privileged to be playing her part in that through IoIC.
Addea Amoa
Addea Amoa is a senior Internal Communication professional with over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of internal communication, change, and culture.
She advises senior leaders and executive teams on complex organisational transformation, helping to align strategy, strengthen culture, and embed sustainable change.
Addea is an IoIC Fellow, and also serves as a Board Member. She brings a practitioner’s perspective shaped by extensive in-house and transformation experience.
Shetal Joshi FIIC
Shetal Joshi is the UK Head of Internal Communications and Employee Engagement at Ørsted, one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies.
With over 20 years of experience, including leadership roles at RAPT Dev London and BT Group, Shetal partners closely with executive teams to deliver global transformation and change programmes. She champions internal communications as a strategic enabler that helps build employee trust, strengthen culture, and foster belonging.
Shetal is a Fellow of the Institute of Internal Communication (IOIC) and serves as a Board member of the IOIC Standards and Skills Board. She is also a Mental Health First Aider and a former member of the Board of Trustees for Sands, the Baby Loss charity. She was honoured with the Sheila McKechnie Amplifying Voices Award for her advocacy work highlighting disparities in Asian baby loss.
Rachel Miller FIIC
Rachel Miller is an internationally recognised authority on internal communication. A former journalist, with more than 20 years’ IC experience, she advises many of the world’s best-known companies through her consulting business, All Things IC. She is a Fellow of IoIC and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and was awarded CIPR’s President Medal in 2020. Rachel is a keynote speaker, Candid Comms podcast host and industry thought leader in the University of Florida’s IC Research Hub. She’s the author of two books – Internal Communication Strategy and Successful Change Communication.

Zaiba Mughal
Zaiba Mughal is an accomplished and dynamic internal communications leader with more than twenty years’ experience working across some of the UK’s most complex and high‑profile organisations. Known for her thoughtful approach, strategic clarity and ability to connect with people at every level, she’s spent her career helping large, global workforces feel informed, supported and inspired.
Her professional journey spans the UK Civil Service, British Airways, BT, BAE Systems and agency work with major clients including Shell, British Heart Foundation and London Stock Exchange Group.
Zaiba brings a blend of calm confidence, practical experience and creative thinking to every challenge, with a particular passion for communication that genuinely improves the employee experience.
A lifelong learner and committed advocate for the profession, she is a member of the Institute of Internal Communications, holds an MA in Internal Communication Management from Kingston University and is an active mentor.
Outside of work, Zaiba lives in Oxfordshire with her husband, their son, Noah, and two cats. She loves balancing a busy professional life with family, baking and quiet moments at home in the countryside.
Paul Diggins FIIC
Paul has worked in Internal Communications for almost 25 years. Having learned his trade at Barclays, he has since worked at a range of businesses in a number of sectors. Most notably, he was the IC lead on the merger between T-Mobile and Orange that led to the creation of EE. Following this, he joined RBS to work on the separation of the insurance division and the subsequent flotation of the Direct Line Group. As well as these businesses, since then, he’s led the IC functions of Rolls-Royce PLC, Elsevier (a division of RELX PLC) and Santander UK PLC. Paul currently heads up IC globally for Alter Domus.
Dr Domna Lazidou
Domna has a background as a practitioner and academic and is an expert in culture, communication and leadership in complex, multicultural organisations. Domna combines consultancy with leading a module for the Masters and teaching intercultural communication for business and the professions at Warwick University.
Domna has designed and runs several executive training programmes on global leadership and diverse teams for Oxford Business School as well as a popular training course on Communicating Culture Change for the IoIC. She is the co-author of “Global Fitness for Global People: How to manage and leverage cultural diversity at work”.
Ruth Findlay
Ruth is Head of People Engagement, Wellbeing & Inclusion at Scottish Water. Her role involves leading the work to enhance employee engagement and internal communications, foster workplace wellbeing, and drive the inclusion agenda across the organisation. Her extensive experience in communications and strategic leadership helps her to support Scottish Water’s purpose of delivering essential services to communities across Scotland.
Ruth has worked in Internal Communications at Scottish Water for over 24 years, having most recently served as Head of Internal Communications. In this capacity, she led teams responsible for communication strategies, content management, events, and transformation communications.
In 2014 she was in the first cohort of students to take the Masters in Internal Communication Management, achieving a First with distinction.
Before joining Scottish Water, Ruth held key roles at the Bank of Scotland, where latterly she was Associate Director, Internal Communications, overseeing global corporate communications for the Corporate and International divisions.
She has also served as a Non-Executive Director at Carnegie College, chairing its Audit Committee and contributing her expertise in governance, financial management, and strategic direction.
Ruth lives in Scotland and is married with two grown up children.
Martin Fitzpatrick
Martin is Director of Internal Communications at Network Rail. He brings more than 15 years’ experience in IC, having previously led teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America for several FTSE 100 companies.
Adele McIntosh
Adele is VP of Internal Communications and Community at Arm, a global technology company. She has worked for Arm for over eight years, and is responsible for internal communications and engagement and culture, internal events and Team Arm, the company’s community engagement program. Before Arm, Adele worked in external communications in the agency world, and had a brief foray into journalism and writing for women’s magazines at the start of her career.
Neena Dominic
Neena Dominic is a high-stakes communications architect and the Founder of Dominic Strategic Advisory, a Dubai-based consultancy serving a global elite of firms across the UAE, UK, and USA. With over 15 years of experience, she is a trusted advisor to CEOs and Boards on geopolitical risk, organizational transformation, and reputation resilience.
Formally commended by the U.S. Secretary of Defense, Neena has steered communications for 100+ markets at the British Council and led global strategy for Gulftainer, the world’s largest private port operator. Her expertise lies in bridging technical operations with human psychology, delivering data-backed storytelling that secures investor confidence and drives market penetration.
An alumna of Johns Hopkins University and the University of Essex, Neena blends elite academic rigor with a proven track record of managing crises in the world’s most complex regulatory environments.
Lisa Moran
Lisa Moran is an award-winning communications professional with over 15 years’ experience leading internal communications at FTSE-listed financial services and insurance companies, including Lloyds Bank, RSA Insurance, HSBC and Direct Line Group.
After gaining her MA in Internal Communications Management with Distinction in 2022, she set up her own consultancy. Since then, she has frequently been engaged to provide senior expertise and deliver impact at pace, transforming communications functions and leading high-profile change across a variety of industries and organisations.
A passionate advocate for equity, Lisa has regularly volunteered with the Social Mobility Foundation, mentoring A-level students from underprivileged backgrounds to achieve their potential. Outside of work, you’ll find her applying her influencing skills to parenting her two children.
Kirsty Mullett
Kirsty is a marketing and communications professional with over 15 years of experience working both in-house and as a consultant across the technology, travel, and healthcare sectors.
Based in the United States for the past decade, she brings a broad, international perspective to her work. As an alum of the IoIC's MA in Internal Communication Management, Kirsty's passionate about solidifying communication as a strategic discipline and championing ethical standards, particularly regarding the responsible use of AI, and delighted to serve on the Standards and Ethics Board for the Institute of Internal Communication to advance these principles.
Laura Pickering
Laura Pickering is an award-winning internal communications and culture leader in the charity sector, and is currently Head of Internal Communications and Engagement at Alzheimer’s Society.
Having worked for national charities like Cancer Research UK, Mind, Sense and Girlguiding, she has over 14 years’ experience in developing and delivering internal communications strategies in the charity sector and supporting organisations to transform their internal communications from the ground up. She is a mentor for Charity Comms, supporting the career development of other internal comms professionals.
Laura recently led the Cancer Research UK internal comms team to win ‘Best not-for-profit/public sector team, 6-10 people’ in the 2024 Institute of Internal Communications Awards.
Kate Waters
Kate is an internal communication and organisational culture consultant. She has more than 15 years’ experience in large, high-profile organisations (from The Prince’s Trust to the NHS and University of Cambridge). She has an MA in Internal Communication Management and is a Fellow of the Institute of Internal Communication.
