Terms and Conditions
By booking onto an event or training programme via the IoIC website you are entering into a formal contract with the IoIC and accepting the following the terms and conditions. Please carefully note our terms and conditions, particularly regarding cancellations (see below). If you have booked in error, or if this booking was not made by you, please let us know within 24 hours of booking.
Please note that payment must be made in full at least two working days in advance of an online course or event and at least five working days in advance of a live (face-to-face) course and at least 14 working days in advance of a face-to-face event, with the exception of network Hubs, which can be paid for as long as the Hub is open for registration (usually the day before the Hub).
All those attending must be registered under the correct ticket/price for the person attending.
If your organisation operates a purchase order system, the purchase order number must be provided at the time of booking.
If you wish to pay via credit card after you have made a booking, a link to pay can be found by logging into the website, then going to 'My account' and 'Invoice history.' If someone else needs to pay on your behalf, you can send them the 'pay online' link, they will not need to be logged into the website/hold a website account to make a payment.
Please note: at this stage, the course/event may not yet have reached the minimum numbers for us to categorically confirm that it will take place on this day. IoIC reserves the right to amend or postpone a course/event. Therefore, if you are planning to book a hotel or travel, please ensure that your booking allows for the possibility of cancellation. The IoIC cannot take responsibility for any monies lost due to the cancellation of a training course/event.
Course numbers
There are maximum - as well as minimum - numbers on each course. If a course is under-subscribed, it may be cancelled or postponed. In that case, we shall notify you at least 5 working days before the course date and, where possible, arrange for you to attend on another date. If you are unable to attend another date we will provide a full refund.
Additional dates will be arranged if the courses are oversubscribed. We cannot accept responsibility for any losses arising from cancellations or changes, beyond the course fees.
VAT
VAT will be applied at the rate in force in the UK at the time of booking. In the case of international attendees, VAT is applicable on live courses/events where the participant is paying as an individual consumer.
Refunds and credit
Cancelling your place
Cancellations made up to 20 working days prior to course/event may be eligible for a 50% refund. The IoIC reserves the right to charge an administration fee of £64.50+VAT.
This does not include Festival, IoIC Conference or Awards Dinner bookings, once booked, no refunds are likely to be given.
Cancellations made within 20 working days prior to course/event taking place are not eligible for a refund. If you fail to attend you will still be charged.
You will be liable for any outstanding payments.
For events that are face-to-face and free for members, if you fail to attend two events without informing the IoIC first across a 12-month period, we reserve the right to not accept future bookings and/or charge a nominal fee for any costs incurred – both administration and venue.
In the case of industrial action, as long as the event can go ahead, no refunds will be issued. If the event can no longer take place on the advertised date, your booking will be transferred to the revised date.
Making amendments to your booking (courses only)
Attendees may be able to postpone or transfer their place up to 20 working days ahead of an event/course.
Any changes made within 20 days of event/course taking place will be subject to an administration fee of £64.50+VAT.
Course credit
Course credit can be held for six months, and it is the responsibility of the delegate to contact the IoIC and confirm how the credit is to be used. After six months, the course credit will be lost and no refund will be issued.
If a delegate has an outstanding payment due to the IoIC from a previous training course or event they will may not be able to make a new booking until the outstanding payment is made.
Change of delegate
If the named delegate cannot attend, the booking can be transferred to another person at no additional cost (unless the other person would have a different ticket type). Please let us know their name - before the course or event - by emailing [email protected] (for training) or [email protected] (for events).
Information
Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We urge you to register for a course/event as soon as possible. If a course/event is full, you may be placed on a waiting list. You will be notified if cancellations occur and space becomes available.
IoIC reserves the right to postpone or cancel courses/events due to low enrolment or circumstances beyond its control.
