A message from the IoIC Awards Chairman
It’s my pleasure to introduce the 2025 IoIC Awards.
As a profession, we continue to demonstrate the vital role that internal communication plays in organisations and these awards have been helping us to do that for 70 years!
For seven decades we’ve celebrated the very best in internal communication, shining a spotlight on the people and teams driving meaningful connections within organisations. This year we’re honouring an incredible milestone: 70 years of excellence, innovation and impact.
The world – both at large and within our profession – has transformed dramatically since 1955. Yet what remains constant is the power of internal communication to empower people, drive change, and help organisations thrive. As a profession we’ve grown, adapted, and innovated, delivering outstanding results while building a supportive, inspiring community that I’m always proud to be part of.
These Awards honour the individuals and teams who are delivering that excellence across the whole span of internal communication. This year we are giving you the opportunity to reflect on your work in 2024 and celebrate all you achieved.
For 75 years, the IoIC has existed to help organisations and people succeed through promoting internal communication of the highest standard. It is still the only independent and not-for-profit organisation solely dedicated to internal communication, continuing to drive the profession forward through qualifications, career development, thought leadership and best practice.
Just like the profession, our Awards continue to adapt. We’ve made changes to reflect our global reach and the dynamic nature of our work. Notice the word "National" has been dropped from our title, this is to represent that the IoIC Awards are open to everyone from around the World. We’ve also made some other changes – you’ll see three new classes looking at the innovative ways we create content, how we manage communities and the increasing role of creating strategy. And we’ve changed our Skills category to be clearer and better reflect what internal communication professionals do every day.
One thing that remains is that all entries are rigorously evaluated by a judging panel of senior and experienced professionals, experts in their field. Importantly, and unique to the IoIC, you will receive a written critique of your entry which will highlight what the judges really appreciated and some suggestions of what you might improve or develop in the future.
Mark your calendars for this year’s exciting Awards dinner in London on Thursday 18 September, with the venue to be announced soon. It’s a night of celebration, camaraderie, and unforgettable energy – a true highlight of the year.
Thank you for your dedication to our profession and for continuing to raise the bar. I can’t wait to see your incredible work and wish you the very best of luck!
