Harnessing Organisational History for Effective Internal Communication

Harnessing Organisational History for Effective Internal Communication

Enhance your organisational storytelling with this free online lunchtime workshop. Explore the strategic importance of your company's history in shaping identity, building trust, and managing change during this interactive session. From activities crafting anniversary communications and change management strategies to discussions around navigating negative aspects of an organisation’s past, the workshop will offer thought-provoking ideas on how to integrate historical narratives into compelling internal communication strategies.

This workshop is run by the History of Internal Communication, an ESRC-funded project based at Northumbria University that began in 2022. The project was awarded £630,000 by the Economic and Social Research Council and is researching the history of twenty UK-based organisations, including the Institute of Internal Communication. More information about the project, including the monthly podcast series and Source of the Month blog, can be found at the History of Internal Communication website.

This event will take place on Zoom. Once you have booked, click the 'Manage your booking' link below to access the Zoom details. Sessions will be recorded, sent to all those who registered and placed in the On Demand section of the Knowledge Hub.
