IC Index Panel - Strategy

IC Index Panel - Strategy

Join us this autumn for a series of panel events, where we will be delving a little deeper into the findings in the IC Index

2024’s IC Index shows that for employees to trust their leaders, employees must believe in the organisational strategy. In fact, there’s a 35pt jump in belief in the organisational strategy when employees know how they can contribute to it. So what role can internal communicators play in this?

Just under seven out of ten employees agree their organisation has been clear on what their strategy is, but only 56% believe the strategy is the right one for success – so what can we do to build higher levels of confidence?

As one senior leader puts it: “I lean on my internal communications team to help cut through the noise, to simplify things for our people and create a common understanding of what we’re trying to achieve – and why it matters. In the storm of so much disruption, aligning behind a common goal can be very powerful.”

This panel of industry experts will discuss  these findings, asking what difference it makes to employees’ engagement for them to have complete clarity on the strategy, to understand progress against it, and to know their personal contribution. And then, how can we, as internal communicators, work with leaders to ensure this is case? And what can we do about the 17% who don’t understand the strategy, its progress or how they can contribute?

We will confirm the industry expert panellists on this page shortly.

You can book onto the other IC Index Panels here.

This event will take place on Zoom. Once you have booked, click the 'Manage your booking' link below to access the Zoom details. Sessions will be recorded, sent to all those who registered and placed in the On Demand section of the Knowledge Hub.
