This course is tailored for senior internal communication leaders who wish to leverage storytelling as a strategic tool within their organisations. It is ideal for those aiming to influence executive stakeholders, shape organisational culture, and foster alignment with business objectives through impactful storytelling.

Learning objectives

At the end of the course, participants will:

  • Understand how to strategically implement business storytelling in the organisation's communication so that employees are engaged
  • Have a three-step framework to apply business storytelling to the overall organisational communication
  • Enhance senior comms leaders’ ability to use storytelling strategically to influence, align, and engage employees
  • Build trust and credibility through storytelling that resonates with organisational strategy, vision and culture
  • Equip leaders with advanced techniques to listen, interpret and communicate complex narratives that support organisational transformation and cultural cohesion.

The course will cover

Part one (8th May, 10:00 - 13:00)

Part two (15th May, 10:00 - 13:00)

  • Introduction to Strategic Business Storytelling
  • Introduction to the three main components of strategic business storytelling: listening, storytelling and taking action
  • Examples and case studies on how to strategically use business storytelling in internal communications
  • Goal setting and assessment of current internal communication in the workplace
  • Embedding organisational vision and values into storytelling to foster cultural alignment
  • Introduction to the two approaches to strategically embedding storytelling (from the bottom up and the top down)
  • Creation of a practical and tailored strategy.

You will also be given the opportunity to book a 30 minute one-to-one session post-course with the trainer to discuss anything you would like to explore further.
