IoIC Community

The place where internal communication professionals come to talk.

Welcome to the IoIC Community

This community is place where internal communication professionals come to talk.

We are delighted to introduce the IoIC’s Community platform. Hosted on the Discourse platform, it is designed to bring together members to share knowledge, engage in conversation and connect with each other.

Communities will replace the groups page(s) on the website.

Alongside the community, the website also now has a member directory where members can opt-in to show their profile on the website and other members can send them direct messages (DM).

The community is split into categories and topics.

Login here as a member to access the community.

What is a Category?

A category is the overall subject of that forum, with some relevant subcategories. You can find a list below.

What is a Topic?

The topics are the strands of discussion within a category.

Currently, members can start topics within a category but not new categories. We will be monitoring the forums and will create new categories as and when needed.

Regional Networks

The place to connect with other members where you live or work (or both!): Scotland; Northern England; Central England; Southern England; South West England; London; Wales; Ireland; UAE; International.

Where an area has a Network Lead these have been listed and will make themselves known on the group. For other areas, you are welcome to arrange informal meet-ups, but if an event needs IoIC support or is to be branded as IoIC, then please email the HQ team.

Sector Networks

The place to connect with other members working in your specific industry/sector.

For this community, we would encourage members to create topics for industries/sectors, then when enough people join in with that topic, we will create a category for that sector.
