These one day, face-to-face conferences will be held in different places around the UK and Ireland with a regional and/or topic focus. This new format is aligned with the IoIC’s strategy to connect more with members in their areas and enhance the local connections that the Network Leads are also working hard to build.
Rebecca Nicholls, Events, Networks & Awards Manager explains: “We are really excited to be introducing IoIC Conference. We have wanted to be able to hold face-to-face events in more places across the UK and Ireland for some time, so are delighted we are now able to. As much as we'd like to, we cannot visit every region all at once, so we are trialling them this autumn in Edinburgh and Manchester. If successful, we will then look to incorporate them into our yearly cycle of events moving locations each time. We are so pleased to be making the move back to more face-to-face events, meeting more of our members and look forward to coming to a region near you.”
The first of the events will be IoIC Conference: Edinburgh (sponsored by Cocentric) on 23 October and IoIC Conference: Manchester (sponsored by Oak Engage) on 21 November.
The IoIC then hopes to incorporate this format into its annual events calendar, alternating UK and Ireland locations. The events will compliment the current offerings of online events such as webinars and roundtables, regional network events and the annual flagship event the IoIC Festival.
