The IoIC exists to help organisations and people succeed through promoting internal communication of the highest standards. What better way is there to do so than to reflect on where it all began?
In June 2022, the IoIC announced its partnership in the first-ever historical study of internal comms from its origins in the 1880s to the present day.
The blog post, which examines Martin Luther King Jr’s quote “We are not makers of history. We are made by history,” was recently referenced by Dr Michael Heller of Brunel University business school as part of a presentation at the European Business History Conference in Madrid.
Driving industry standards for over 70 years, the content we share is insightful, relatable, and relevant around the world, and we are excited to share that the blog post is going global, making its way to the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Seattle, Washington on 6 August.
We look forward to being able to share a deeper understanding of the history of internal comms, and to continue to influence and support the evolution of the profession as we pave the way for the future.
