EVP: Unlocking the power of employee voice

11.10am – 11.50am BST, 13 June 2024 ‐ 40 mins

Case Study

This session will focus on how in-house teams can leverage their insight and organisational knowledge, along with the voice of employees, to create a compelling narrative that captures their organisation’s employee value proposition (EVP). Every organisation’s EVP is unique, so creating something that feels authentic and resonates with colleagues is a challenge! In creating a new EVP for Voyage Care, the team drew upon our deep understanding of the organisation and all the evidence and research outputs at our disposal, to develop people-focused concepts. The project was delivered in house, from concept to execution, so there are reflections and learnings to share from each stage of the journey.

This session will explore how Voyage Care created an EVP that is unique to its organisation, with employee voice at the heart of it. It will cover the creative approach, the relationship between EVP and existing organisational artefacts, and how the team developed something our colleagues demonstrably feel represents their experiences.

Three takeaways from the session:

  1. The importance of authenticity to a successful EVP and how to set about achieving it
  2. Recognising the power of an IC team's knowledge and connection to colleagues, and leveraging it
  3. What is the role of IC in creating/communicating an EVP
