2.50pm – 3.30pm BST, 18 June 2025 ‐ 40 mins

Talk

Stories make people feel something which is why storytelling is such a powerful tool for internal communicators. It can build unprecedented levels of connection and respect among colleagues, significantly drive engagement, and, most importantly, allow internal communicators to share the story of a business and the people who power it in a more interesting and humanised way—one that’s more easily retained by employees. In short, storytelling makes internal communications more impactful, memorable, and effective, ultimately driving stronger alignment and better performance within the organisation.

This session explores what good storytelling looks like, offers advice on how to find those compelling stories within your company, and looks at real-life examples of impactful story telling.

Three takeaways from the session:

  1. How you can create engagement and community in a virtual world.
  2. How to embed and get through to people rather than just giving out information.
  3. Looking at current popular formats and thinking about how you can adopt them in your workplace.
