EX - Values co-creation as an end in itself. A case study from the charity sector

2pm – 2.40pm BST, 18 June 2025 ‐ 40 mins

Case Study

The value of Values is often seen in delivery - how they appear and play out throughout organisations, to set expectations, guide behaviour and . This is true, but the creation of values should also be seen as an opportunity - an opportunity to engage, co-author and co-sponsor the Values with all employees,  to help guarantee they’re real, relevant, and true - to help build both connection and commitment. Blue Goose worked with food distribution charity FareShare to do just this - take their whole employee base along the journey to create new values that feel mutual and distinctly FareShare, before the process of embedding throughout the organisation. We’ll share that case-study, the process, challenges and eventual benefits with members from the both the blue goose and FareShare team.

Three takeaways from the session:

  1. How to create Values that are unique, distinct and differentiating
  2. How to develop these with employees, to maximise engagement in the process and the output
  3. How to turn co-creation into the finished article: approach; challenges, outcomes
