With the high volumes and relentless pace of change that organisations continue to face, communicating change effectively can be a big challenge. But effective internal change communication is critical for the success of any change initiative. Good change communication can pull together the different parts of the organisation involved in designing and delivering change to improve cohesion and alignment. It can help to overcome resistance, build motivation for change and embed change, for sustainable, long-term benefits.
This session will talk about the types of change communication you are involved in, the typical communication challenges that can occur and how to overcome barriers to effective change communication. The session will also cover how to develop a change communication strategy that provides a solid foundation for successful organisational change.
Ranjit is a chartered management consultant and accredited trainer. She works closely with clients to support them in embedding tailored change and project management approaches, that enable effective communication, efficient delivery and sustainable transformation. She is Founder of ChangeQuest and her work with clients spans across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
She is co-author of IOIC’s Change Communication Strategy Guide, and other publications, including: Titanic Lessons in Project Leadership and The Effective Change Manager’s Handbook. She teaches the change management and stakeholder influencing units of IOIC’s Master’s programme and has held the position of Trustee Board Member for the APM.
