Finding a job is a major milestone for a refugee as they seek to successfully build a life in their new country. Yet, refugees face obstacles to employment - from language barriers, a lack of professional networks, transport, and childcare solutions to gaps in employment and education. Supporting refugees into work is a win-win for businesses and refugees themselves. Studies have shown that refugees stay at companies longer, companies hiring refugees are more attractive employers and it enhances brand perception.
Join this session to find out about the long-term benefits of hiring refugees and the role of internal comms functions in fostering inclusive recruitment and onboarding of refugee talent.
Moderated by Tent UK, this conversation will provide insight into Marriott International’s refugee inclusion efforts - covering progress to date, the impact on company culture and practical advice for internal communications professionals on how to advance refugee integration initiatives within their organisation.
